About
Academic and industry professionals in the biomaterials field require the ability to concisely convey the impact of their individual research niche to colleagues, the general public, and potential investors/funding agencies. In this workshop, graduate students, postdoc trainees, assistant professors, and other young scientists will learn key strategies for developing their personal and/or laboratory brand. Strategies will include: how to develop a theme and identity, self-promote research, deliver a one-minute elevator pitch, know your audience, engage in social media, and optimize networking. This session is being proposed by the Young Scientist Group and may be included in the Career Catalysis Track.
